Join a dedicated, diverse and inclusive team of over 7,000 to be a part of the Courageous future we envision.
Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow interested in bioinformatics innovation of clonal hematopoiesis (CH) molecular signatures in cancer. The main responsibilities include developing bioinformatics approaches for processing, detecting, visualizing, and interpreting cancer-associated CH signatures. This primarily includes next-generation DNA sequencing data, but may also incorporate RNAseq and single-cell DNA and RNA sequencing. This is a joint position between laboratories of Dr. Nancy Gillis and Dr. Mingxiang Teng. Dr. Gillis is a leading scientist in the field of clonal hematopoiesis and personalized medicine with an emphasis on clinical translation of research findings (https://moffitt.org/research-science/researchers/nancy-gillis-johnson/). Dr. Teng’s research is focused on data challenges in understanding cancer mechanisms, particularly the high-throughput genomic data cleaning, modeling and integration (https://moffitt.org/research-science/researchers/mingxiang-teng/). With the combined expertise from both labs, this position will provide great opportunities for acedemic career planning in translational research.
