Business Development Summer Intern (Sales & Marketing)

Internship Overview
The Sales & Marketing Intern will spend significant time with our Sales & Marketing Departments focused on completing wide range of projects.
· On the Sales desk, the Intern will learn about the investment products and sales processes that are used at RiverFront Investment Group and about the financial services industry overall.
· Our Intern will work on projects from Internal Sales, Marketing, and National Accounts. These include working with sales data, data manipulation using Excel, and running various reports on sales and marketing performance.
· Working with the Marketing team, the intern will assist with sales and marketing events, campaigns, and social media.
Throughout the summer our Intern will have exposure to different departments including Marketing, Sales, Compliance, and Investments. Our Intern will be able to engage with managers of the departments to learn more fully how each works. Interns in the past have used the Internship to explore different areas of the business to help determine what interests them most and the types of roles they will pursue after graduation.

Required Education & Skills
· Qualified candidates should be beginning their final year in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills required.
Candidate should be a driven self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
· Candidate must have a U.S. work authorization and be able to work in Richmond, VA.
