Postdoctoral Fellow (2946BR)

SRI Biosciences has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow to be a part of the Formulation & Drug Delivery team within the Pharmaceutical Sciences Group of the Biosciences Division. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in translational product development for parenteral dosage forms. 

The successful candidate will design and develop parenteral formulations for small and/or large molecule drugs; and will propose/execute strategies to achieve desired drug release profiles, with the objective to transfer a scaled-up, stable finished drug product to Clinical Manufacturing. Candidate will actively collaborate with analytical and quality control, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology, GLP preclinical, GMP clinical manufacturing and human clinical trials groups, as needed, throughout the various stages of the project.

Qualifications :
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not required.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge in design, development and evaluation of parenteral formulations is desirable. 
  • Candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • An established publication record is a plus.
  • Successful hire will eventually have the opportunity to build their own funded research program within the Formulation & Drug Delivery group.
