Research Intern

Vote-USA is a non-profit organization focused on providing researched, unbiased, non-partisan ballots in every election for voters across the country.

Interns will be working in a few different capacities as we move through the election calendar this year. First we will be entering the ballots for state, and many county and city primaries and general elections.

Interns will then research candidates' campaign information and contact candidates to invite them to fill out their profile on Vote-USA.org and potentially sit for an interview via Zoom, Skype, or phone call. We will then create podcasts of those interviews.

There will be many individuals who want to be heard from and it's a great opportunity for interns to speak with candidates running for office in all levels of governance.

During the 2023 election cycle we find and identify thousands of candidates across the country. In order to present voters with up to date information about the candidates in their area, our interns research the most recent contacts and links for each candidate.

The most successful interns are students that have excellent time management skills. This internship is remote, allowing students to complete their research from anywhere.

Our goal is that our interns learn about states and governments outside of their own. For those students with civic engagement aspirations, we hope this internship will be a launching pad to begin their careers.

Campaigning for office is changing rapidly. We believe that interns will learn the skills they need to prosper in an increasingly digital campaign environment and ultimately bring more educated young people to the polls.

It is the student’s responsibility to seek possible credit with their university for this internship, but we are happy to help.
