Program Associate (Social Media)

Summary

This position is located in the Department of the Chief Executive Officer, Office of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

The Program Associate provides a variety of technical and administrative support to facilitate the work. Responsibilities include conducting research, preparing media, content and accomplishing general administrative activities. Primary duties include:
  • Collects, reviews, consolidates, and revises social media content received from National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) Regions.
  • Enhances media content by including things like: pictures, testimonials, quotes, captions, or other materials, and posts new or updates existing information to various social media channels.
  • Facilitates the NCCC social media working groups to develop campaigns and align NCCC needs with Agency campaigns. Makes recommendations for the inclusion of information to support the NCCC mission in Agency-wide publications.
  • Tracks and analyzes NCCC social media performance and makes recommendations for more effective use of social media tools.
  • Maintains and revises marketing materials geared to the recruitment of Corps members.
  • Gathers and analyzes data and prepares reports on demographic, performance, and management results.
  • Prepares letters, reports, briefing and presentation materials and other documents utilizing a range of software programs with a particular emphasis of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Contributes as a team member to the development, support and implementation of special initiatives.
