Installation Summer Internship
Description:
At Ford AV, we pride ourselves on the quality of our people. By joining this internship program, you get a chance to become part of the team at one of the fastest growing AV companies in the country. You will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of different areas from one the nations top commercial AV integrators. You will gain practical experience while working with professionals in fabrication & rack assembly, commercial installation and engineering support. We are looking for engineering students with interest in the AV industry who are looking to expand their skills in the short-term, and to begin developing a long-term relationship with a reputable company. This will be a very hands-on internship, so a strong sense of ambition is a must. This is a paid internship!
Qualifications:
- Engineering student having completed sophomore year in good standing
- Currently pursuing one of the following or similar degrees: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Construction Management, Computer Science, Acoustics, Sound Design & Technology and Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Official transcript required
- At least two letters of reference from professors will be required
- Must have a good driving record and clear criminal history
- Must be available to work flexible hours, generally between 7 AM and 5 PM
- Must be able to commit to the internship for a period of 6-10 weeks
- Interest in design and installation of professional audio, video, and lighting systems
- Knowledge of or interest in electrical, electronic or mechanical systems
- Keen motor skills
- Interest in learning about room acoustics and noise control
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good attitude, strong work ethic, and leadership ability
- Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- High standards for work ethic, professional presentation, and quality of work
