Campaign Management & Outreach Summer Intern

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT & OUTREACH INTERN
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you interested in using cutting edge technology to help facilitate outreach projects? If the answer is “yes,” our team wants to hear from you!
REAL Strategies – a data-driven communications, technology, and advocacy consulting firm – has an exciting opportunity for a paid, part-time (15-20 hrs/week) Campaign Management & Outreach Intern for Summer 2021. This internship is ideal for rising college seniors or recent college graduates with relevant coursework/degrees in political science, program and project management, communications, and digital media.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Campaign Management & Outreach Intern will work with the Campaign Services (CSP) Team to assist in the execution of candidate and issue advocacy campaigns, and review completed campaign performance reports for trends and potential case studies. The Intern will help craft target universes using a top-of-industry data library, assist with project and deadline management for each campaign utilizing project management software, and assist with vendor and cross-team communications.
Responsibilities and candidate preferences include, but are not limited to:
 
·        Assist with information flow across internal and external stakeholders.
·        Research for internal- and client-facing projects; administrative duties.
·        Audit project collateral and reports for accuracy.
·        Review past project reports to help establish internal baseline trends in digital advertising.
·        Strategic problem-solving and political planning abilities using creativity and initiative.
·        Familiarity with voter database searches and list building or similar tools is preferred.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
This intern must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. S/he must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines. Enthusiasm, the willingness to learn even when being challenged, and a sense of humor are a strong plus. To be successful in this role, the individual must demonstrate experience with electoral campaigns, issue advocacy, politics, and/or technology.
