2021 Fall Retail Merchandising Internship

As a leading employer on the Outer Banks for over 40 years, Kitty Hawk Kites is hiring a Retail Merchandising Intern for the Fall of 2021! Internships last a minimum of 12 weeks.
Job Duties
- Working with Store Manager and Visual Merchandiser to create attractive visual displays, organize store layouts
- Assist visual merchandiser with frequently updating displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
- Work closely with store manager, visual merchandiser, and buying department to adhere to brand standards, ensure signage is displayed, promotions are clear, and stores are easy to shop
- Build relationships with other interns, business leaders, and team colleagues
- Promotion of Kitty Hawk Kites/Kitty Hawk Surf Co. through advertising and activities
- Providing customer service which includes but is not limited to the following
- Greet and assist all customers
- Customer awareness
- Engaging customers
- Answering phones
- Passing out brochures
- Variety of tasks as needed
- Operate a POS system for the sales of merchandise, rentals, and bookings
- Inventory/fold-hang-security tag/merchandise all new stock
- Maintaining the stores clean, safe, and attractive environment
- Projects as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
