Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is currently hiring for multiple Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with an established long-term care nursing facility in Wayland, MA. This is a direct-hire opportunity and an excellent way to establish the foundation of a healthcare career while working with a compassionate and dedicated team!
Job Duties:
- Responsible for medication administration for the long-term care residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations
- May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation
- Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans
- May be responsible for clinical system tracking eg. wound or infection control under the direction of assigned Registered Nurse
- Provides general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community
- Notifies physicians and/or family members of any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation
- Responds quickly to all emergencies
- Maintains close communication with all departments and staff
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of the skilled nursing facility
Job Requirements
- Current Massachusetts License as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
- Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience as a professional nurse in an acute setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Point Click Software (preferred)
- Self-motivated, independent, organized, able to prioritize work and be flexible when troubleshooting
Compensation:
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive, starting salary of $65K+ (DOE) plus full benefits package!
