Independent Living Coordinator/Peer Counselor
Do you enjoy working with others, helping them to succeed and meet their life goals? The disAbility Resource Center is hiring an Independent Living Specialist/Peer Mentor to help people with disabilities achieve their individual, independent living goals. The candidate will provide resources and teach independent living goals and guide an individual through mentoring to live life to their greatest potential. The ideal candidate for the job will also research and provide trainings and presentations on disability issues, work with local organizations as needed, and advocate for full inclusion of all people in the community. Computer literacy and familiarity/personal experience with or sensitivity to disabilities are essential. There may be occasional night or weekend hours.
