Environmental Administrative Support

The EPA National Student Services Contract has an immediate opening for a full-time contractor position; Administrative Support with the Office of Research and Development at the EPA facility in Washington, DC. 
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Bachelor’s grad to collaborate with EPA’s research team. Research experience includes:
·       Providing logistic support;
·       Tracking and coordinating scientific assessment;
·       Developing and conducting special analysis; and
·       Networking and exploring many career paths at EPA.
Location: This job will be located at EPA’s facility in Washington, DC.
Salary: $23.73 per hour.
Travel: Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Required Skills:
·       Strong leadership and organizational skills, including demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with competing deadlines;
·       Strong communications skills (both orally and in writing). A writing sample demonstrating the candidate’s ability to summarize and describe technical information is required for evaluation;
·       Excellent interpersonal skills; and
·       Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
 
What the EPA project is about
The Center for Public Health and Environmental Assessment (CPHEA) provides the science needed to understand the complex interrelationship between people and nature in support of assessments and policy to protect human health and ecological integrity. Within CPHEA, the Health and Environmental Effects Assessment Division (HEEAD) develops scientific assessments on human health or environmental risk of chemicals or stressors to inform EPA programs and regions, producing a portfolio of assessment products that serve different programmatic needs.
Qualifications                    
 
·       Be at least 18 years of age and
·       Have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, environmental science, or a related field of study from an accredited university or college within the last 24 months and
·       Be a citizen of the United States of America or a Legal Permanent Resident.
