Association Management Intern

Overview: iLAEA is a global music, media, arts, and entertainment professional association that primarily supports independent urban artists and professionals while focusing on expanding the market reach and potential of the emerging urban gospel/inspirational entertainment.
 
Responsibilities: Duties will vary depending on department, division, or partner. Interns may be responsible for developing strategy, marketing, branding, digital media plans; special projects; social media integration; database/website maintenance; creating, editing, and distributing content; creating, editing, updating graphic imaging; sending out promotional messages/mailings; conducting online and physical research projects; answering phones, writing reports, proofreading, and general administrative functions, such as filing, faxing, copying and distribution.

Qualifications:
All candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
Candidates should display strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as demonstrate ingenuity and an eagerness to learn.
 
Candidates must also possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop, etc. preferred) and strong organizational skills.
 
An interest in the media, music, and entertainment business or professional association management is strongly preferred.
Students will be asked to intern at least fifteen hours a week but we will try our best to work around student’s schedules.
 
Students must provide a letter from their college or university confirming that they will receive school credit. Most of our internships are for credit only.

 
Association Management/Membership Director
Job Description
The Association Management and membership department is seeking students with skills and interest in leadership and recruitment for internships. Ideal candidates are those studying Business Administration, Business Management, or other related fields with the following qualifications:
 
·        Overseeing membership activities for organization or association.
·        Develops programs, initiatives, and polices design to increase membership.
·        Create/Update and distribute information to current members as well as prospective members.
·        Provides input on strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
·        May give input into developing a budget.
·        Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Position Type: Part-time/16-hours per week
