Intern - Customer Engineer - New York, NY

Customer Engineer Intern
 
DESCRIPTION:
The Customer Engineer Intern for the Ricoh Education team will work primarily out of our customer sites which are schools and is responsible for working closely with clients and cross functional support teams to manage and maintain the technology used by these customers. This this a full-time summer position lasting 12 weeks and will involve using both technology and business skills in support of our client’s environment. The position requires basic network administration and troubleshooting skills, workstation knowledge, and basic management of both Microsoft Windows, Apple OSX, and/or Google Chrome operating systems, attention to detail, business intuition, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to professionally conduct oneself to all levels of the corporate structure.
 
**This position will require 100% travel in the tri-state area. Adequate transportation is a requirement, travel will not be reimbursed **
**Interns will be provided with required hardware to access Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and the internet. **
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical documentation of floor plans and networking infrastructure.
Network troubleshooting including but not limited to basic networking protocols such as: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network switches, and wireless network.
Windows 10 workstation setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Google Chrome OS setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Basic working knowledge of Apple OSX and iOS.
Workstation quality assurance check, management, and inventory.
Additional responsibilities not limited to - management of cabling infrastructure and relocation/unboxing of new hardware
