Communications Specialist

In this newly created role, you will be responsible driving brand awareness and engagement through Empyrean’s social media channels and communication platforms. You will partner with stakeholders from across the organization create and execute campaigns that will solidify Empyrean as a thought leader, bolster the brand’s reputation, drive product awareness, and increase engagement.
You will also support the broader communications function by developing, coordinating, implementing and tracking external communication activities to drive engagement and further enhance and elevate the Empyrean brand.
What you will do:
  • Execute and contribute to a results driven social media, corporate communications, content, and influencer marketing strategy
  • Develop and curate content that can be used across Empyrean’s social media platforms to engage various audiences, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic to the Empyrean website
  • Compile analytics, create reports on key metrics, and make data-driven go-forward decisions
  • Lead social listening and monitoring efforts to identify and capitalize on industry trends
  • Interact with followers and users, responding to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Collaborate with content creators across divisional areas to produce original social and digital content
  • Manage, develop, and publish social media content calendars in alignment with the broader editorial calendar and product roadmap, including planning, copywriting, content creation, proofreading, approvals, and scheduling, working with key stakeholders as necessary
  • Define and coordinate photography and video content necessary to support content calendar
  • Create and edit graphics needed to support posts, website, and other digital channels
  • Maintain and manage a roster of employee advocates to share and create social media content
  • Work with other members of the communications and marketing team to integrate and amplify all communications, including press releases, blog posts, events, etc.
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across social channels and other publishing platforms
  • Support the broader communications and content function, (i.e. proofreading, distributing press releases, contributing own ideas, etc.)
Sound like a lot? It is!! 2021 will be a foundational year for our newly formed Marketing team. As a direct report of our new Head of Content and Communications, you will help to shape the vision of the communications function, and be a part of defining our social media strategy.

What you bring to the table:
  • 1-3+ years of social media experience in a B2B corporate environment in an intern or full-time capacity
  • Strong understanding of social media channels, content development, and social analysis
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and drive projects to completion in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills – strong attention to detail and quality conscious
  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically
  • A self-starting, can-do, optimistic and charismatic personality
