Behavioral Health Consultant

The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) works in a fast-paced health center environment as a primary care team member, providing patient centered integrated healthcare. Serves as subject matter expert resource for medical practitioners by providing trauma informed and culturally sensitive consultation from a biopsychosocial perspective. Provides direct clinical services with an emphasis on patient-centered care, early intervention, client empowerment, social justice, and long-term whole person wellness. Assists medical teams in treatment planning and delivery of collaborative care in the treatment of biomedical and behavioral health issues. Participates in regular interdisciplinary group case consultations, collaborates with community partner organizations, and coordinates further specialized care when clinically indicated. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
* Master’s Degree in Social Work or Doctorate in Psychology (PhD / PsyD) 
* Current State of Oregon Clinical License or ability to obtain license within two years of hire. OCH serves a 4-county area in Oregon and Washington so working toward Washington licensure may be needed. 
* Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC) or ability to obtain certification within two years of hire. 
* Current CPR/BLS certification or obtained within 60 days of hire. 
* Successful completion of credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing to include peer review. 
* One year of experience in public health, healthcare, mental health, substance use, or social work.
