Business Analyst Intern

Job Title: Business Analyst Intern
Location: IBSS HQ - Silver Spring, MD and remote
Internship Duration: Summer 2021 - 8 to 10 weeks

Job Description
IBSS is seeking talented undergraduate or graduate students focused on developing a career in business or management. This internship project would consist of working on building out the IBSS marketing process (documentation, process maps, workflows, etc.) as well as helping PMO build out the SharePoint connective abilities and data migration. This would allow the intern to work with both the PMO and Marketing teams to develop their analytical and process creation skills.

Intern Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with PMO to learn about the SharePoint and Google Dashboards.

  • Determine ways the integrate the two systems. 
  • Document processes as they are approved by senior management.  
  • Create a process map/workflow around migrating data for real-time reporting.  
  • Meet with the Marketing to help develop the IBSS Marketing process.

  • Shadow the team to determine the workflow and processes currently in place.
  • Document procedures based on the daily/weekly functions of the Marketing team.  
  • Create process maps on the workflow of the marketing process. 
  • Create a first draft of the IBSS Marketing SOP.
Learning Objectives & Internship Goals:
  • Work with PMO to help build out SharePoint connective abilities (have SharePoint work with other systems to help automate data)
  • Data collection and migration
  • Work with Marketing to build out the IBSS Marketing Process - Learn to create process maps and workflow, process documentation, learning marketing tools and their uses in a business. 
  • Build a pathway for SharePoint data to connect with Google Dashboard for real-time reporting. 
  • Create a First Draft of the IBSS Marketing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Education Requirement:
  • Pursuing a degree in business, management, or management information systems (MIS) or a related field.
Required Skills: 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets 
  • Desire to learn 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-Driven
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in SharePoint and/or Google Dashboard.
  • Interest in learning about Business Marketing.
