Amazon Finance Rotation Program (AFRP) - Summer 2022 Accounting Internship

Applications are now open for the 2022 Amazon summer accounting internship in Seattle, Washington. The global accounting organization oversees our financial reporting, internal controls, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities, and supports new business launches globally for Amazon in the consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business. This team is focused on controllership, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

We are seeking data-driven, business-minded, results-oriented financial analyst interns who are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Included as part of the internship is the intern project, which requires the candidate to flex their accounting, analytical, and business understanding while also optimizing, improving, and driving quality to solve a problem or improve an existing process. This role will interact with various business partners that span across accounting, finance, operations, and technology organizations within Amazon, and will present the result of the project for evaluation at the end of the internship. Internships culminate with a capstone project presentation and, if Amazon extends an inclined hire decision, an offer to join Amazon’s full time Accounting Finance Rotation Program (AFRP) after completing their bachelor’s degree.

Candidates who receive an offer to join the summer 2022 Accounting Intern Class will receive invitations to participate in the Amazon’s 2021 Accounting Summer Leadership Program taking place in late July 2021. During the event, candidates will have the opportunity to meet professionals, engage in Amazon’s culture, build leadership skills and get a glimpse into what a career path in accounting at Amazon looks like. Due to current restrictions, events will be held virtually. Attendance will be optional.
