Analyst, Client Development

Strategic Investment Group is seeking an Analyst to join the Client Development Team to assist Client Development in providing prospects with timely and accurate information related to the firm and its investment strategies. The work will include both various sales support functions and marketing. The Analyst work will include prospect research, prospect meeting preparation, database support, presentation generation and participation in key meetings with senior staff to strategize on the approach to a particular opportunity. In support of marketing efforts, other duties and responsibilities will include assistance and coordination of a soon to be launched thought leadership website on the OCIO industry, conferences, speaking engagements, social media, and other general marketing day to day activities.
 
The Analyst will be an integral member of the team and will report directly to the Global Head of Client Development. The candidate must be hardworking and able to successfully interact with colleagues across the firm, while prioritizing and completing multiple tasks to meet ongoing deadlines. The successful applicant should be ready for wide-ranging responsibilities in multiple areas within Client Development, given the dynamic nature of the firm and industry. Importantly, given Strategic’s commitment to learning and development, this professional will be exposed to, and work directly with an experienced team of sales and marketing professionals.
 
The Analyst role requires excellent attention to detail, creative thinking, strong PowerPoint skills, intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn more about careers in Marketing or Client Development Importantly, the successful candidate will be able to consistently meet deadlines, while often working on several tasks concurrently.
 
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
·        Work closely with the Client Development team to assist with:
o   Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing sales presentations for prospective clients.
o   Supporting some functions of RFP work and follow up requests, including managing across competing deadlines, compiling information from multiple internal sources, and ensuring content complies with the firm’s brand and guidelines.
o   Coordination with Compliance to review and obtain approval of materials.
o   Assisting with various sales tracking in a CRM database (Satuit), and other project management tools, for analysis and report generation.
o   Providing market, competitor and prospect research.
·        Process improvement initiatives and system development projects.
·        Work closely with the Marketing team to assist with:
o   Maintaining a current understanding of the firm and client development initiatives, working closely with the sales team to design, implement, and measure the success of marketing campaigns.

o   Maintaining and developing content for OCIO.org, a thought leadership website for the OCIO industry.
o   Managing relationships with various conference groups around our speaking engagements.
o   Creating and managing social media posts.
o   Marketing two soon to be published books on best practices for investment committees.
o   Managing email marketing campaigns in support of the firm’s client development objectives and firm initiatives.

o   Managing all facets of event planning and audience development for firm-sponsored conferences and webinars.

o   Ensuring consistent print and digital messaging of the firm, capabilities, and brand – both internally and externally.
Qualifications/Requirements
We seek a highly collaborative new team member, who is dynamic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, superior problem-solving and organizational skills, and have a demonstrated record of success in a team environment. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
·        Bachelor’s Degree
·        Interest in financial markets
·        Prior experience (preferably 1-3 years) working in a professional services firm, investment or management consulting, asset management, investment banking, accounting or financial services operations, even at internship level.
·        Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·        Detail oriented with the highest degree of accuracy.
·        Ability to successfully collaborate with a team and execute responsibilities independently.
·        Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily and project workloads, while working efficiently and accurately meeting deadlines.
