Staff Accountant
Access Intelligence, a leading B2B publishing and events company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and review monthly close entries, as well as other special projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Month-end and year-end closing including revenue recognition, accruals and reclass entries
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements to Operating Groups
- Ensure accuracy of financials statements in accordance with GAAP and to internal policies
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Interface with all levels of management
- Support annual Audit fieldwork
- Other work as requested
Desired Skills and Experience
- BS degree in Accounting
- 1 - 3 years of general ledger experience
- Strong technical accounting background
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and automated accounting software(s)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player and have ability to work independently
- Detail oriented, strong organizational/time-management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
