Big Time Hoops Internship - Sports Management/Event Planning

Big Time Hoops is seeking highly motivated college students who are looking to gain experience managing family orientated sporting and entertainment events. You will gain hands-on experience in marketing and promotion as well as gain valuable knowledge in the build, execution and post-operations of event management. Internship starts May 17th and ends December 31st.

Responsibilities
• Collect data on youth basketball teams via internet. 
• Enter data into Big Time Hoops database. 
• Send data report every two weeks with updates on progress.
• Contact coaches on behalf of Big Time Hoops and inviting them to attend events in their area. 
• Intern will work 4 - 6 hours per week.
• Hit goals of 10% conversion rate. (200 contacts = 20 registrations) 
• Attend (2) Big Time Hoops events in 1st year. 
• Interact and manage spectator crowd
• Manage 2 to 4 courts to ensure all games run on time
• Ensure scores and stats are uploaded; communicated through social media
• Speak with coaches, spectators and vendors on their experience with BTH

Future Opportunities

Intern District Training Program. You would lead a team of interns and provide training on marketing and promotion.   

Assistant Director (After Internship) Working as Assistant Director presents the opportunity to network within the sports industry as well as gain valuable, first-hand event management experience. Director is responsible for managing all aspects of tournament venue. This includes directing staff and handling on-site questions and issues, uploading highlight material on to Big Time Hoops social media platforms, and ensuring that event stays on strategic time schedule. 

Stipend for Intern Will be collected after attending second Big Time Hoops event ($1000).
