Project Coordinator & Analyst

FlexMetrics is a leading provider of real-time production visibility and decision support software with installations on over 1,000 production lines at manufacturers located in the USA, Canada, Latin America, and Europe.

We are looking for a self-directed Project Coordinator and Analyst who enjoys managing and analyzing an effective project implementation framework that accelerates the value of connecting the manufacturing shop-floor to front-office decision makers. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and applying new information system technologies across global markets in areas such of IIoT, Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0.

This position requires at least 4-6 days per month in the office at our downtown Roanoke, VA location.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project implementation activities, resources, and schedules
  • Work with client IT and Maintenance resources to successfully manage projects from sales hand off to final customer acceptance
  • Escalate issues as needed to keep projects on time and on budget
  • Effectively manage client expectations as projects evolve
  • Oversee procurement of IT hardware components and third-party services
  • Act as the single point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met via customer acceptance criteria
  • Develop project performance analytics to identify opportunities for internal process improvements to continually accelerate value-realization for clients
Skills
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Proven work/classroom experience or education as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Basic understanding of computers, networking, and software applications
  • Understanding of effective project management, from conception to delivery to escalation
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Working knowledge or education in project management software (e.g. MS Project, Basecamp or Trello, Zoho suite experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong competency in MS Excel, using analytical tools such as pivot tables or Power Pivot
  • Experience or education with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI preferred
  • Work exposure within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • BSc in Business Management, BIT, Industrial Engineering, or related field
