Learning & Development Specialist

SupplyHouse.com, a fast-growing and successful e-commerce company, is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to add to our expanding Human Resources Team! This person will help our employees develop their skills in order to achieve personal and professional growth. If you love executing training and development initiatives and helping others achieve their goals, then we want to hear from you!

Due to the circumstances regarding COVID-19, we are searching for someone who can currently perform this job remotely UNTIL they can transition into our Melville office when it reopens in September.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $50,000-$65,000/year
Location: Melville, NY

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and identify training needs through surveys and consultations with supervisors
  • Create training materials such as manuals and presentations
  • Develop, implement, and deliver training programs throughout the organization utilizing a variety of methods/media
  • Constantly improve and innovate Professional Development programming by soliciting feedback from participants, measuring learning outcomes, researching industry best practices, and striving to make sessions as interactive and engaging as possible
  • Manage internal communications related to Professional Development
  • Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs and coordinating training schedules
  • Keep up with training and development trends in order to become an expert in the field
  • Analyze and improve the employee review process
  • Develop and implement initiatives that will provide growth opportunities for team members across the company
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Team Lead and Captain



Requirements

  • A passion for employee growth and development
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in training, professional development, or a related function
  • Exceptional organization skills, a knack for juggling multiple priorities, and a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Team player mentality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
