Membership Intern

In this position you will work with the Membership Department and support recruitment, engagement, and data management around all annual events (both in person and virtual).

Responsibilities of the Membership Intern:
  • Update and maintain membership data in AMS and spreadsheets
  • Assist with the membership recruitment process
  • Research membership prospects and opportunities
  • Assist with the membership renewal process
  • Assist with data integrity projects, ensure data quality and accuracy in membership reporting
  • Respond to phone calls, email, and other correspondence from internal and external customers

Requirements of the Membership Intern:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or current student
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel required
  • Database experience preferred
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, change oriented environment
  • Must have a can-do, positive attitude
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically 
  • Must be comfortable with technology and willing to learn and use new technologies
  • Some overtime and event travel may be required 
  • Must be available to work during December holidays
  • Must work full-time, Monday through Friday through February
