Position Title: Misc. Admin and Program Analyst (GS 0301)
 
Position Overview
Department of Interior (DOI) relies on a variety of administrative specialists to support land use planning, environmental coordination, energy and minerals oversight, managing recreational facilities or conservation initiatives, obtaining specialized scientific and technical skills and services, and much more. Every job is different but every task is important!
 
Description/Responsibilities:
 
The ideal candidate works well with people and likes to make sure things get done. He or she enjoys doing research to track down the right person or other necessary information. Writing, analytical, project planning/management and automated systems skills are important. Some positions rely on resource management knowledge.
 
Reviewing and evaluating documents for compliance
Providing information to customers
Researching and obtaining information
Coordinate process improvements for administrative functions
Collect and draft policies in different areas such as health and safety management, financial and performance, economic policy management, Freedom of Information Act, records management, property, internal controls, and regulations.
 
Eligibility:
§ Preferred majors: Business Management & Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Accounting, other related majors
§ Valid state issued driver’s license required
§ U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder required
§ Strong verbal and written communication skills
§ Must be innovative and results driven
