Special Instructor-Early Intervention

Are you an educator of young children who has experience working with kids under the age of five, who have developmental delays? Are you looking for a position where you can make a difference for children and their families while having a flexible schedule? 

The Theraplay Family of Companies is a leading provider of children’s therapy services, and we are currently seeking Special Instructors to join us in providing Early Intervention services, to children ages birth through three, in Chester, Bedford, Greene, and Somerset Counties, Pennsylvania! Experience supporting the behavioral, social, and emotional needs of children and their families is a plus. This is a flexible part-time opportunity to build a caseload with the goal to work one-on-one with families in their homes and the community while also supporting them through teletherapy. Candidates with daytime, weekday availability are preferred.

As an early interventionist, you have the ability to make a positive impact on a child, while coaching their family members through interventions based on their daily routines in the child’s natural setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and various other medical professionals to plan and carry over goals while working on the Individual Family Service Plan.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas, or have Bachelor’s degree with at least 18 credit hours in early child development: Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Family and Child Services, or related majors. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with children age five or younger who have a developmental delay. This position requires travel and candidates must have their own transportation and computer.

We work with children, to help them maximize their potential, in over 30 pediatric outpatient centers, in schools, and in homes throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia.
