Social Media Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
  • Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers
  • Help to, create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written)
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “Social” way
  • Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Monitor online reviews and work with PR manager to respond to each review timely and with care
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed
  • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)
  • Identify emerging social trends and platforms and develop appropriate strategies
  • Be an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Demonstrate ability to map out marketing and content plans. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company
  • Analyze campaigns and translate data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, and social advertising campaigns
  • Attend all relevant events and post live updates where necessary
  • Work with the partnerships management team to develop and maximize content opportunities
Education/Experience/Skills:
  • At least 2+ years of proven experience in social media or marketing within the Games/entertainment Industry or Consumer Electronics.
  • Degree in marketing or related field
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why ideas are analytically sound
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
  • Practices superior time management
  • Passion for videogames and strong knowledge of the PC sector
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
  • Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress CMS
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English with sound communication, copywriting, and presentation skills
