Social Media Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
- Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers
- Help to, create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written)
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “Social” way
- Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions
- Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
- Monitor online reviews and work with PR manager to respond to each review timely and with care
- Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed
- Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)
- Identify emerging social trends and platforms and develop appropriate strategies
- Be an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Demonstrate ability to map out marketing and content plans. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
- Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company
- Analyze campaigns and translate data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, and social advertising campaigns
- Attend all relevant events and post live updates where necessary
- Work with the partnerships management team to develop and maximize content opportunities
Education/Experience/Skills:
- At least 2+ years of proven experience in social media or marketing within the Games/entertainment Industry or Consumer Electronics.
- Degree in marketing or related field
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
- Proficient in content marketing theory and application
- Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
- Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why ideas are analytically sound
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
- Practices superior time management
- Passion for videogames and strong knowledge of the PC sector
- Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
- Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress CMS
- Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Fluent in English with sound communication, copywriting, and presentation skills
