HR Benefits & Wellness Intern

Join our fast-paced, globally focused HR Team as an HR Benefits & Wellness Intern and help us connect our employees to the Company’s incredible investments in their benefits and wellbeing during our exciting summer moving season. This is a great opportunity to explore the HR function in a global organization: communicating with employees, planning and executing summer wellness campaigns, participating in the annual benefits renewal process, helping us maintain data integrity (data entry, data transfer, data sharing), and conducting critically important audits, analyses, and documentation of processes.

Responsibilities:

•                    Gaining exposure to the HR function, specifically around benefits & wellness programs for an employee population headquartered in Sterling, VA and with offices in Canada, United Kingdom, China, and India.  
•                    Assisting with the upload, transfer, and analysis of data shared between different systems, documenting those processes, and recommending improvements.
•                    Developing communications for a global audience around benefits and wellness including emails, newsletters, and events calendars.
•                    Responding to unemployment claims – gathering facts, interviewing managers and witnesses, analyzing and preparing official responses.
•                    Auditing processes around benefits administration and recommending enhancements.
•                    Supporting the HR Team on a variety of special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications: 

•                    You are enrolled in an accredited two or four-year degree program.
•                    You are looking for exposure to a career in human resources.
•                    You have a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
•                    You are excited to learn, challenge yourself, and commit to growth!
