Resident In Counseling/Intern Position
We are currently seeking a Resident in Counseling/Counseling Intern, to practice under the supervision of Tom Heasley, LPC, LMFT. We are seeking motivated, compassionate and dedicated residents seeking clinical supervision for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. We offer clinical training in Evidence-Based therapies in a fully supported environment where you can learn practical skills, strategies, and techniques from a variety of Best Practice Modalities.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR LPC and LMFT
RVCC Resident Program Includes:
- Group Supervision
- Individual Supervision
- Observation Supervision (observe live sessions with experienced therapists)
- Video/Audio recording
Clinical Training in Treatment Modalitites such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Positive Therapy
- Mindfulness
- Motivational Interviewing
- Sleep Disorders
- Couples Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Working with Children
- Faith-based Counseling
- And more…
- In addition, and upon licensure, you have the opportunity to work under the supervision of Tammy Carr to work toward Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certification

We are inviting candidates with a passion for success and who seek a consistent client load, of 20+ clients per week. Our perfect candidate possesses excellent communication skills and a solid basis of education, has a strong grasp of counseling principles and DSM diagnosis, is able to learn our Practice software and keep all documentation up to date.
