About the Capital Advisory Group

We deliver customized financing solutions across the entire capital structure for institutional clients in the United States and Europe. Our debt product capabilities include asset-based, 1st & 2nd lien, unitranche, mezzanine, high-yield and other structured debt instruments. Our equity product capabilities include highly structured equity and equity-linked securities for private issuers, PIPEs, secondary private equity solutions and SPACs. We assist clients with growth, acquisition and project financings, refinancings and recapitalizations, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, lender negotiations and sell-side lender education processes. Our deep sector expertise enables us to optimally position companies within a sector, advise clients through complex situations and deliver financing solutions that support our clients’ long-term strategic objectives. We possess strong relationships with a variety of lenders and investors, including universal banks, non-bank/credit funds, private equity, hedge funds, family offices and alternative capital providers, creating competitive processes that optimize pricing, terms, speed and certainty. 

As an Analyst in the Equity Capital Advisory team, you will:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models, company marketing materials, term sheet and capital structure analysis and client and Board presentations
  • Manage institutional investors throughout capital raise process including facilitating their diligence
  • Perform research and various analyses in support of new business generation and thematic product publications
  • Gain an expert understanding of the private equity market and cultivate relationships with a broad universe of investors, including private equity, venture capital, credit and hedge funds, family offices, and other alternative investors
  • Develop your skills through broad exposure to clients, investors and Baird bankers

What we look for: 
  • Interest in and familiarity with private equity and credit markets, corporate finance and accounting
  • Preferably, at least 12 months full-time work experience in a fast-pace professional environment
  • Candidates must have a proven academic record
  • The ideal candidate will have: (i) an enduring work ethic and track record of success; (ii) the ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis; (iii) excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, research and computer skills, and (iv) excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Series 63 & 79 licensing preferred or ability to easily obtain
