Engineering and Manufacturing Intern (Full-Time)

Position Overview:  
The Engineering Intern will develop professional skills working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The qualified applicant will work both on their own and with the team on projects involving mechanical design, electronic design and software development. The applicant will facilitate the design, programming, assembly and troubleshooting of highly complex instruments.
The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to training which would be given in an educational environment. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern, and on occasion its operations may actually be impeded. The Intern does not replace or displace any employee of the Company. The education received by the Intern from the internship is for the express benefit of the Intern. The Intern will receive direct and close supervision by an appropriate supervisor.

Requirements:
·        Degree in engineering science such as Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering in general
·        Proficient with statistical and computer productivity software (i.e. Word, Excel, Matlab, etc.)
·        Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
·        Strong written and oral communication skills
 
Preferred experience:
·        Knowledge of understanding of material science engineering, programing languages to support ongoing and future projects.
·        Includes a university senior design project or a completed past internship in automation, design devices, programming microchips, or troubleshooting complex instrumentation.

Essential Responsibilities / Functions:
·        Working with the team for the completion of project oriented tasks and documentation of those tasks.
·        Assist with the manufacturing of Grenova products to learn product details in depth.
·        Work closely with team members in support of engineering projects.
