Graphic Designer

JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing branded marketing creative materials from concept to completion for a broad spectrum of collateral. The position requires a motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable and creative problem solver with up-to-date industry knowledge. Must be able to interpret our client’s needs and produce creative materials that meet or exceed expectations.
 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSBILITIES:
 
The Graphic Designer must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:
 
  • Assess creative briefs and use effective ideation techniques to produce a variety of unique concepts that meet client's strategic goals
  • Build layouts based on knowledge of design principles and articulate rationale of creative decisions
  • Deadline driven and works efficiently to deliver on multiple project timelines from kickoff to final delivery
  • Understand and adhere to client brand strategies, marketing goals and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) legal and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to function well as part of a team, amend designs to account for client comments, and gain full approval
  • Deliver high-quality work that reflects Snow Companies' professionalism and strengthens our company's reputation
  • Quick learner and skills-growth driven; able to observe industry trends and push design technique and style to keep designs fresh
  • Effectively meet design deadlines to maintain Snow Companies' commitment to client requests
  • Able to represent the design department in resolving design change requests from internal departments and/or clients
  • Provide professional design consultation (i.e. expert aesthetic advice) to internal departments and/or clients in management of design projects
  • Help to determine the best design techniques to be used in order to meet the client's expectations

Weekend & Night Work:
 
Although day-to-day work should primarily take place during regular office hours, on some occasions work may be required late into the evening and/or over the weekend. The candidate selected for the Graphic Designer position should have the expectation that the workload and nature of the work will require hours that may extend past the business hours of the company (8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). This includes working on the weekends.
 
 
Collaboration/Teamwork:
 
  • Able to understand cross-functional roles and collaborate effectively to produce best outcomes
  • Able to represent the design department in resolving design change requests from internal departments and/or clients
  • Provide professional design consultation (i.e. expert aesthetic advice) to internal departments and/or clients in management of design projects
  • Candidates must demonstrate extreme adaptability and willingness/ability to step into other roles as needed to drive the success of the company
  • Candidates need to demonstrate their ability to be a contributing member of a team that has goals that are broader than an individual job description or function.

Patient Privacy:

The core of our business is working with patients. The Associate Producer most likely will come in contact with Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients living with chronic illness. You will be required to take training courses that include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Snow Policy Training
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Adverse Event (AE) Reporting Training
  • U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Training
 
 
Computer Skills:
 
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (CS5 or later), i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Acrobat Pro (experience in After Effects and web design is a plus)
  • Strong PowerPoint design capabilities preferred
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. In some instances, a passport may be necessary.
 
 
Design Skills:
 
  • Portfolio required
  • Proficient in photo touchup and modification and custom graphics creation
  • Proficient typography skills (marketing copywriting experience is a plus)
  • Strong PowerPoint design technique preferred
  • Strong balance of both print and digital experience including social media preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for new design techniques
  • Strong creative and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Displays an open, positive, optimistic approach to work and feedback
 
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and at least one year of relevant work experience
  • Or a minimum of eight years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
