Licensed Team Lead: IIH Therapist

We are searching for experienced IIH In-Home Therapist and seek those individuals who possess not only the professional experience, but also the personal and interpersonal characteristics needed to be successful in a challenging yet rewarding environment
The qualified applicant will be expected to assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance use disorder problems; including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other licit or illicit drugs. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education as a part of the IIH team.
Qualified individuals includes a person who meet requirements specified for Licensed Professional Counselor status according to 10A NCAC 27G. 0104
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to referrals, effectively managing volume and maintaining communication with clinical and office staff
  • Perform assessments, using standardized screening tools, evaluating for the presence of potential risk behaviors related to substance use and mental health disorders
  • Effectively engage referrals who are appropriate for Peer support services, SAIOP or IIH with Ariel Community care in completing a full assessment, including obtaining informed consent, conducting assessment interviews using standard and open-ended questions in order to properly diagnose the presence of a substance use disorder and mental health disorders
  • Use clinical skills and motivational interviewing strategies to engage referral and strengthen motivation for treatment.
  • Provide referrals and facilitate intake to treatment resources appropriate for referral’s treatment needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with referral and resources to effectively link to needed treatment services.
  • Meet required billing targets and complete all documentation within assigned time frames.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Completing intake documentation accurately within the guidelines established by regional MCO and Ariel Community Care, LLC
  • Review, explain, and provide copies of client rights and privacy practices
  • Complete therapy and case management activities associated with IIH consumers in coordination with QP and other professional on the IIH team
Qualifications and Skills
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field/ with LPC or LCSW
  • A minimum of two years in a psychiatric, substance abuse or mental health setting desirable.
  • A minimum of one year experience with the adolescent/youth population
  • Completion of AHA CPR course
Required license or certification:
  • LPC, LCSW
