Summer Associate- DG Solar Project Finance

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 
Distributed Generation, a part of EDP Renewables North America, is looking for a Solar Project Finance Summer Associate.
The solar project finance summer associate will be trained by and assist the Manager’s and Associates. One can expect to gain an understanding of the valuation of energy generation assets and corporate finance. This is a 10-week full-time and paid internship that will start on or around June 7, 2021.
 
Main accountabilities:
  • Assist team members in developing valuation models, performing analytic research, and writing reports that are submitted to Management.
  • Collect, analyze, and correlate data for valuation analysis purposes; as well as perform ancillary analysis of economic, industry, and financial data.
 
Minimum qualifications:
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills you have advanced Excel functionality
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
