Early Intervention- Classroom Support
This position provides technical assistance to classroom staff and families addressing children’s challenging behaviors and/or disabilities by working collaboratively with teachers in various classrooms throughout the course of the year as the needs are determined.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Baccalaureate degree in Child Development, Birth-Kindergarten, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Recreational Therapy or directly related field. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
EXPERIENCE:
Five years of experience teaching children ages birth to six. Experience working in an early childhood setting with children with identified disabilities and/or behavioral needs. Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.
