Early Intervention Specialist- Behavior
This position provides technical assistance to classroom staff and families addressing children’s challenging behaviors and/or other mental health needs. It promotes program quality through consultation and training.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Baccalaureate degree in Child Development, Birth-Kindergarten, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Recreational Therapy or directly related field. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working as a teacher in early childhood classrooms and/or experiences as a behavioral health therapist with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.
