Area Manager

This position requires collaborative leadership and the ability to build and maintain a strong team of teachers, center directors and other staff members. Develops and implements program policies and procedures to provide a high-quality program, and is responsible for the overall operation of the assigned area (multiple sites). Directs and oversees the management functions to ensure quality, safety, and all applicable state/federal program compliance while maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families and a professional relationship with teaching staff and other WCCA program staff. Local travel may be required for this position. 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field with a NC Child Care Administrator Credential, Level III. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.
 
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience administering/directing a NC licensed 5-star child care facility/program, preferably one that administered an Early Head Start/Head Start program. Early Head Start/Head Start classroom experience preferred.
