Therapist, Mental Health

Founded in 1973, Pathway Caring for Children offers caring, innovative, and confidential mental health services to children and families currently through telehealth and in-person appointments.

Our therapists utilize a Trauma Competent approach to provide: Individual and Family Therapy, Diagnostic/Mental Health Assessment, Group Therapy. Populations served may range from early childhood to transition-aged adolescent and young adults with a wide range of diagnoses and presenting problems.
Experience and skills, or willingness to obtain skills, in working with a variety of populations; Ability to engage a wide range of clients and families from diverse populations; Ability to work effectively with other professionals both within and outside the mental health profession; Experience and skills, or willingness to obtain skills, in applicable modalities and interventions, including, but not limited to, evidenced-based /evidenced-informed practices; Must demonstrate cultural competence including sensitivity to the diverse perspectives and experiences of clients, families and the community; Willingness to provide therapeutic services via videoconferencing and/or telephone. In-person appointments may also be provided following current State of Ohio guidelines.
The successful applicant for this position should have a Masters Degree and appropriate licensure by the State of Ohio to provide Behavioral Health Counseling and Therapy services (LISW, LPCC, LSW or LPC preferred), at least six month's experience working with youth/families/adults; a demonstrated ability to work well with many different types of youth/families/adults; possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, automotive liability insurance, and a car which is safely maintained. Demonstrates sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children, families and adults served by Pathway.
