Entry Level QC Microbiologist -1st shift

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Entry Level/Associate Level Microbiologist will control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials, utilities and environment (water, compressed air, etc.) as well as finished products.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Test raw materials and finished products for microbial contamination oniste in our QC lab within Herbalife's state of the art Innovation & Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem,NC.
- Trouble shoot production problems.
- Prepare and standardize all reagents.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Validate procedures used in the microbiology laboratory.
- Complete all necessary documentation in microbiology lab to ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance.
- Responsible for and empowered to stop an analysis that may produce poor quality results as required by ISO 17025.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:
- 0 to 2 years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food production, or related industry
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of Quality Control back ground
