Psychology/Sociology/Education Internships at Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps


About This Job:
Use your experience in PsychologySociology or Education to provide an incredible sleep-away camp experience for campers at Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps. Our campers are coming to camp with a variety of needs both socially and emotionally. Lake of the Woods and Greenwood's program fosters campers' decision making, independence and social growth. This opportunity will exercise professional skills such as communication, team-building, behavior management and more; all of which are essential for the clinical or educational workplace. Job Responsibilities: Staff at Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods work in a dual role-position both living with and caring for children age 7-15, and instructing in one of our nearly 60 activity areas for children to participate in. Potential employees should expect to gain experience in communication, behavior management, conflict resolution and more; all of which are essential for the clinical or educational workplace.

Qualifications: Ideal applicants have completed one year of college/university in a related field (psychology, sociology, education, or similar) and have experience working with children age 5-15 in an educational, clinical, or caregiving setting.

About Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps:
Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps are accredited by the ACA and are amongst the finest private sleep-away camps in the country. We are seeking fun, caring, energetic, hard-working college and graduate students for the summer of 2021. We are an overnight camp for boys and girls located in Southwest Michigan (2 hours from Chicago). Our boys and girls are ages 6-15 and attend camp for a 2, 4, or 8-week session.
