Job Description:
We are seeking a Portfolio Management Summer Analyst for Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (“BREIT”), our public non-listed REIT. Since launching in January 2017, BREIT is among the largest vehicles within Blackstone and one of the largest public REITs in the US with over $40 billion in total assets and over $20 billion in net asset value. BREIT is a part of the Blackstone Real Estate’s broader Core+ business, which is the fastest growing segment within Blackstone Real Estate, with over $60 billion of investor capital under management.
 
Responsibilities:
The BREIT Portfolio Management Summer Analyst will work with BREIT management to help manage all aspects of BREIT including development & execution of key strategies and day-to-day management of the business. The main areas of responsibility for the BREIT Portfolio Management Summer Analyst include:
 
·      Portfolio Management & Analytics
  • Produce analytics to drive decision making on:
  1. Investments (real estate & securities allocations, hold vs. sell, yield & coverage)
  2. Balance Sheet (leverage, cost of capital, interest rate exposure, liquidity, buying power)
  3. Capital Raising (new product development)
  4. Corporate Strategy (performance, deployment, asset allocation)
  • Participate in and create materials for key special projects & BREIT Board meetings
  • Participate in weekly internal BREIT meetings & discussions
 
Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
  • Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2022 – Spring 2023
  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA
