Clinical Psychology Post-Doctoral Training
Psychiatric and Psychological Specialties is a multidisciplinary mental health clinic with a virtual practice and physical locations in St. Joseph, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois. We are a thriving private practice that consists of psychiatry, assessment, and psychotherapy service lines.
We have two openings for post-doctoral trainees beginning immediately. Ideal candidates have recently completed their doctoral training and have a desire to augment their knowledge base and deepen their skillset as a generalist psychology practitioner. We offer a well-rounded post-doctoral training program that includes training in individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment, trauma, family work and health psychology.
This unique, experientially focused, intensive program features one-on-one supervision, small-group supervision, didactic seminars, and mentoring of professional and clinical development. Our training is designed to foster the clinical and professional development of our fellows by supporting self-reflection and providing multiple opportunities to deepen clinical knowledge and skills.
Post-Doctoral Training Opportunities:
- Comprehensive psychological assessments
- Individual and group psychotherapy
- Opportunity to develop a balanced caseload of long-term and brief psychotherapies
- Weekly supervision with primary and secondary supervisors
- psychodynamic, integrative, CBT/DBT, family systems
- Focus areas include: trauma, personality disorders, multicultural and health
- Weekly didactic seminars and psychotherapy case conference
- Opportunity to participate actively in program development
- Opportunity to participate in teaching and supervision activities
Benefits:
- $55,000 annual stipend for one year commitment
- $60,000 annual stipend for two year commitment
- 10 paid time off days annually, 5 flex days

- Option for one or two year commitments
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D., from an APA or CPA approved graduate program.
- Completion of a 12-month internship program in clinical psychology
Location: Virtual to begin – can be located anywhere in Michigan and Illinois with the understanding that the position will be a mix of office based and virtual once COVID restrictions are lifted.
