Research Assistant for Indigenous Organizing

The First Nations Research Institute is a program of the Highland Support Project to provide Indigenous community organizations with scholarly research to inform program design and advocacy programs. Interns are recognized as Highland Fellows and have support from a full time director to assist with research objectives.

Interns are encouraged to make connections with their current academic carrier and view the engagement as an opportunity to make direct linkages with community leaders, activist, and development experts.

When travel restrictions are lifted, interns may participate in subsidized or low cost research engagements with participating community organizations in Ecuador, Guatemala, and Arizona.
