OVERNIGHT CAMP POSITIONS
Roles to be filled from at the
Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Camp at Oak
Springs in Statesville, NC
Must be at least 21 years of age by June 1st 2021:
• Leadership Counselor- 1 position available, Drivers
License Required. Responsible for the oversight of
campers in the CIT and Dish Diva Programs.
• Business Manager- 1 position available, Drivers License
Required. Manages the camp’s business concerns,
run onsite store, billing/receipt reconciliation, supply
ordering, weekly supply run, drive for off-site camp trips
• Program Director- 1 position available. Provides
quality supervision, support, and planning for high ropes
course, cooperation course, archery, arts and crafts
programming.
• Kitchen Manager- 1 position available. Manages
and supervises the menu planning, purchasing, and
preparation for the camp. Maintain health and safety
standards in the dining hall according to Girl Scout and
American Camp Association (ACA) standards.
• Unit Leader- 2 positions available, 21+ preferred but not
required. Responsible for the oversight of campers and
staff in assigned unit.
• Waterfront Director- 1 position available, 21+ preferred
but not required. Provides quality supervision, support,
and planning for waterfront programming.
Must be at least 18 years of age by June 1st, 2021:
• Healthcare Supervisor- 1 position available. Age 18+
required, 21+ preferred. Coordinates the supervision of
the health and safety of campers and staff.
• Floater Counselor- 3 positions available. Responsible
for the oversight of campers in the cabin setting.
• Unit Counselor- 6 positions available. Responsible for
the oversight of campers and staff in assigned unit.
• Assistant Kitchen Manager- 1 position available. Assist
in the menu planning, purchasing, and preparation for
the camp kitchen. Assist in maintaining health and safety
standards in the dining hall according to Girl Scout, the
State of NC, and American Camp Association (ACA)
standards.
• Property Assistant- 1 position available, 8-week
seasonal contract. Provided basic maintenance and
custodial services in accordance with the Council’s
policies and standards for their assigned property and
may assist with the maintenance of other properties as
requested.
Must be at least 16 years of age by June 1st, 2021:
• Cabin Counselor- 10 positions available. Responsible for
the oversight of campers in the cabin and unit setting.
• Kitchen Assistant- 2 positions available. Assists in
preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining
the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, and help
prepare pack-out meals.
MORE INFORMATION
• Overnight Camp is located at a 700 acre property in
Statesville, NC (45 minutes from Charlotte, NC).
• Room and board included but not required for all Overnight
Camp positions.
• You do not need to be a Girl Scout or female to apply. Male
applicants are welcomed.

• Opportunities available to be a part of annual Kick-Off
event through July 26, 2021.
