Deal Origination Associate Intern

TGA Capital is a San Francisco Bay Area investment firm which is involved in the investment, buy-outs of middle market companies and the build-out of start-ups. We have executed 35+ transactions worth $5.4+ billion in a variety of industries and companies in the software, online education, internet, digital media, e-commerce, consumer products and others, where a scalable business can be built with defensible market position and recurring revenue model. 


Internship Description
This is a great internship opportunity for an ambitious, driven and entrepreneurial student with the potential to earn substantially. 
This is paid internship opportunity with TGA Capital’s Deal Origination Team. The intern will get hands on experience in sourcing and originating investment opportunities. In doing that he will develop his interpersonal, business development and communications skills and will learn to get out of his comfort zone. The intern will also develop their business analytical skills, so they will understand what represents a good business and a good investment opportunity. This will be a very valuable experience in creating a large business network of contact.

Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for developing new investment opportunities with large corporations or entrepreneurs-founded businesses across the United States. In addition to finding and creating these business opportunities, the intern will be responsible for initial evaluation of the investment opportunities before forwarding them to management. This could be a part-time or full-time opportunity and could be extended for a longer period after a successful 3 months trial period. 
Flexible work hours: The intern can manage their time freely and perform his/her responsibilities based on his/her own time availability (mornings, afternoons etc.)
 Remote work: it is possible that the work can be done remotely

Requirements:
The intern needs to enjoy communicating and interacting with people - this will include investment banks, CEOs, and business owners. Has to have polished interpersonal skills. Has to be able develop new business relationships and does not shy way from approaching new business contacts at higher ranks. Has to have perseverance and drive for success.
 
Compensation:
The compensation will be performance based depending on volume of deals originated and closed. Lucrative opportunity for the one who manages to successfully develop investment opportunities.
