Touchdown Alabama (tdalabamamag.com) is looking for a Football Writer Intern to join our team. This is a hybrid position based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

About the Role

Touchdown Alabama is one of the leading Alabama Crimson Tide football coverage outlets. We're looking for a motivated student or recent grad who lives and breathes college football — specifically Alabama football — to contribute written content on a regular basis.

This isn't a passive observer gig. You'll be covering practices, writing game previews and recaps, breaking down recruiting news, and keeping our readers up to date on everything happening with the Crimson Tide.

What You'll Do

- Write game previews, recaps, and analysis pieces for Alabama football - Cover recruiting news, updates, and commitments - Produce features and interviews with players, coaches, and staff when opportunities arise - Monitor Alabama football news and contribute timely, accurate reporting - Collaborate with editors to meet deadlines and maintain content quality - Assist with social media posts related to your written content

About You

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a journalism, communications, sports media, English, or related program - Strong writing skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines - Genuine passion for Alabama football and college football in general - Familiarity with AP Style - Ability to work independently and pitch story ideas - Prior bylines or clips preferred but not required

Nice to Have

- Experience with SEO and digital publishing platforms (WordPress, etc.) - Active on social media with an understanding of sports audience engagement - Video or podcast experience
