Content Producer for Local Entrepreneur

CREATIVE CONTENT PRODUCER

Help Us Build the Next Great Entrepreneur-Led Media Brand

Location: Nashville / Franklin, TN
Position: Part-Time | Primarily In-Person
Compensation: Depending on Experience

OVERVIEW

We're looking for a storyteller who happens to know how to use a camera. Not a camera operator looking for things to film.

We're a Nashville-based entrepreneurial group operating multiple businesses across home design, real estate, acquisitions, and other ventures. We're embarking on an exciting new chapter: building an original, personality-driven media brand that documents the unfiltered reality of entrepreneurship.

Think compelling short-form storytelling, cinematic behind-the-scenes footage, business documentaries, unexpected moments, educational content, and everything that happens between the wins and failures of running a company.

We're looking for a highly creative, ambitious Content Producer who can help turn our everyday business operations into entertaining, engaging, and sometimes viral content.

Someone who can recognize a great story before anyone else realizes it's happening.

Someone who understands why people stop scrolling, why they keep watching, and what makes them come back tomorrow.

This is not a traditional 9-to-5 social media management position. You'll be helping build a media brand from its infancy, working directly alongside the founder, with significant creative freedom and the opportunity to shape its identity.

Our ambition is simple: Create content people genuinely look forward to watching, even if they have absolutely no interest in the businesses we're operating.

THE ROLE

As our Creative Content Producer, you'll serve as the primary creative force behind our growing digital media presence.

You'll work closely with the founder, frequently accompanying him throughout his day, documenting business operations, meetings, projects, acquisitions, client experiences, and the unpredictable moments that make entrepreneurship interesting.

Your responsibility isn't simply to record what's happening.

It's to find the story within what's happening.

You'll help conceptualize, direct, film, produce, and oversee the editing of content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and eventually longer-form YouTube programming.

You'll have the freedom to pitch creative ideas, experiment with new formats, develop recurring content series, and help establish a distinctive visual and storytelling identity.

We want someone who is comfortable both behind the camera and saying, "Stop. That was interesting. Say that again, but this time let's open the video with it."

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Content Strategy & Story Development

Collaborate directly with the founder to develop a compelling, personality-driven content strategy.

Identify interesting stories within everyday business operations, conversations, challenges, projects, and milestones.

Develop creative concepts, attention-grabbing hooks, scripts, and storyboards.

Build and maintain an ongoing content pipeline and publishing calendar.

Research emerging content trends, storytelling techniques, and successful creator formats.

Develop recurring video series that encourage viewers to follow along over time.

Help establish the founder's unique voice and on-camera presence.

2. Filming & Production

Regularly accompany the founder to capture authentic behind-the-scenes footage.

Film business meetings, job sites, customer projects, installations, real estate ventures, and other relevant activities.

Capture high-quality video using professional cameras, smartphones, wireless microphones, and other production equipment.

Direct on-camera conversations and interviews.

Capture engaging B-roll, cinematic sequences, spontaneous moments, and compelling visual transitions.

Coordinate occasional planned filming sessions for educational or scripted content.

Maintain and organize production equipment and digital assets.

Obtain necessary filming permissions and respect client and business confidentiality.

3. Video Editing & Post-Production

Produce engaging, high-quality short-form videos optimized for social platforms.

Utilize dynamic captions, jump cuts, motion graphics, sound effects, music, overlays, and creative transitions.

Understand pacing, audience retention, and the importance of the opening 1–3 seconds.

Incorporate graphics, screenshots, photography, animation, and other supporting visual elements.

Establish consistent editing templates and visual standards.

Repurpose footage across multiple platforms without sacrificing quality.

Coordinate with freelance editors as production volume increases.

4. Social Media Growth & Analytics

Help manage content distribution across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.

Monitor content performance, audience engagement, watch time, retention, shares, and follower growth.

Identify successful formats and continually improve future content based on performance.

Experiment with hooks, storytelling structures, video lengths, and creative approaches.

Stay current with social media algorithms, platform changes, and emerging creator trends.

Help establish a recognizable and growing digital brand.

5. Long-Form Content & Documentary Development

As the media operation grows, you'll also help develop longer-form content, including:

Weekly behind-the-scenes YouTube episodes.

Documentary-style business content.

Founder interviews and conversations.

Business acquisition journeys.

Project transformations.

Educational storytelling.

Special creative projects and original video series.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, creative, proactive, and a little obsessed with making great content.

The ideal candidate:

Is a storyteller first and a videographer second.

Understands what makes short-form content entertaining and shareable.

Has a strong creative eye and excellent filming instincts.

Can take an ordinary business interaction and turn it into an interesting 45-second story.

Is comfortable working independently without constant direction.

Can recognize compelling moments in real time.

Is willing to experiment, take creative risks, and challenge conventional corporate marketing.

Is comfortable directing and coaching someone on camera.

Enjoys fast-paced environments where no two days look alike.

Has a genuine interest in entrepreneurship, business, and filmmaking.

Is ambitious and excited about the opportunity to help build something substantial from the beginning.

We want someone who thinks like a creator, works like a producer, and understands storytelling like a filmmaker.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required:

Strong experience shooting and editing short-form video.

Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or comparable editing software.

Experience creating animated captions, overlays, graphics, and transitions.

Working knowledge of professional cameras, smartphone videography, lighting, and audio recording.

Understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously.

A portfolio demonstrating excellent creative storytelling and editing abilities.

Ability to travel locally throughout the greater Nashville area.

Preferred, but not required:

Adobe After Effects.

Adobe Photoshop or Canva.

Experience producing long-form YouTube content.

Experience with documentary-style filming.

Familiarity with AI-assisted editing and production tools.

Experience with social media analytics and scheduling platforms.

Photography experience.

Motion graphics and animation skills.

A degree in film, media production, marketing, or a related field is welcome, but not required.

Your portfolio and creative instincts matter considerably more to us than your résumé.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Our initial goal is to build a consistent, high-quality content operation capable of producing:

5 compelling short-form videos per week.

Regular behind-the-scenes and spontaneous social content.

Content distributed across multiple social platforms.

An expanding library of footage, creative concepts, and recurring video formats.

Eventually, one longer-form YouTube episode per week.

Success will be evaluated on content quality, storytelling, consistency, audience engagement, growth, and the ability to continuously develop stronger creative ideas.

We don't expect every video to go viral.

We do expect every video to have a reason someone would want to watch it.

WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY IS DIFFERENT

This is an opportunity to get involved at the very beginning of building an entrepreneur-led media brand.

You'll have:

Direct access to the founder and multiple operating businesses.

Significant creative freedom and input.

A constantly evolving variety of interesting subjects to film.

The opportunity to help shape an original digital media brand.

Exposure to entrepreneurship, acquisitions, marketing, luxury residential projects, and business development.

Opportunities to expand into longer-form documentary and filmmaking projects.

Room to grow into a senior creative or production leadership position as the media operation expands.

We're not looking for someone to simply fill a content calendar.

We're looking for someone who wants to help build the channel that everyone else in our industry wishes they had created.

Please submit:
