HTx Pain Institute is a physician-owned interventional pain practice led by Dr. Edward Baumgartner Jr., a Texas Top Doc. We opened a new, purpose-built clinic in 2026 and our schedule is full — we're adding a PA or NP so patients can get in sooner.

What you'll do• See established patients and new patient evaluations in clinic, Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00. No nights, no weekends, no call.• Manage conservative and medication therapy, order and review imaging, and prepare patients for procedures.• Post-procedure and post-implant follow-ups (spinal cord stimulation, SI joint fusion, intrathecal pumps, RFA, injections).• Work directly alongside Dr. Baumgartner and our DNP — your own template, your own patients, and a physician in the building.• Charting in DrChrono; MAs and front office handle intake, verification and authorizations so you can see patients.

Who we're looking for• Texas-licensed PA-C or NP (FNP, AGNP, AGACNP) with prescriptive authority and DEA.• 2+ years in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, neurosurgery or spine preferred. Strong new graduates with a pain or ortho rotation will be considered.• Comfortable with a 25–30 patient day and the documentation that supports interventional care.• Someone who wants to build a panel and stay — we're growing to a second physician and additional APPs, and this role grows with the practice.
