JOB TITLE: Coordinator of Student Support Services

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, School Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership or a related field
- Administration and Supervision endorsement preferred
- A minimum of three years leadership experience on the school or division-level
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, the Coordinator of Student Support Services will coordinate mental health, behavior supports, School Counseling and 504s.

Program Leadership & Student Supports
- Provide leadership and technical assistance in the planning, development, and implementation of student support services within multi-tiered systems of support.
- Coordinate K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Programs and CARE Teams.
- Support the development of Academic and Career Plans.
- Oversee division programs including Quaver, SchooLinks, Teen and Youth Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA/YMHFA), Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT), and Lifebridge.
Behavioral & Mental Health Services
- Provide professional learning and technical support in evidence-based behavioral interventions and student well-being.
- Support Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), crisis response, risk assessments, and threat assessment processes.
- Support bully prevention programming and initiatives.
- Collaborate with school leaders to strengthen instructional and behavioral practices.
Collaboration & Consultation
- Collaborate with Social Work, School Counseling, Social-Emotional Learning, Behavioral Services, Special Education, Nursing, School Psychology, Preschool, and Curriculum & Instruction teams to develop and implement supports for at-risk students.
- Partner with principals to support the supervision of school counselors and monitor effective use of counselor time.
- Collaborate with families, community agencies, school staff, and state and local organizations to promote student success.
Compliance & Data Management
- Develop and maintain procedures, manuals, and guidelines; recommend updates to Board policies.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal requirements, including 504, SRC graduation coding, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and report data to evaluate program effectiveness, including data related to traditionally marginalized student groups.
- Support division attendance initiatives and monitor chronic absenteeism.
Training & Professional Development
- Plan and deliver professional development for school and division staff on student support services, behavior, counseling, and related topics.
- Provide training and resources for 504 coordinators.
- Participate in professional organizations and remain current on best practices in school counseling and social-emotional learning.
Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise the 504 Specialist, Behavior Specialist, and Attendance Officer.
- Support secondary master schedule development.
- Serve as the division's McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison and Foster Care Liaison.
Other Duties
- Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology to support student well being SEL, PBIS;
- Thorough knowledge of school division rules, regulations and procedures; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports;
- Knowledge of policy, procedures, timelines and regulations regarding the s504 process
- Ability to analyze and disaggregate data
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, and community members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A master's degree in psychology, counseling, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field is required. Candidates must hold a valid professional license or endorsement in school psychology, school counseling, or educational leadership. A minimum of three years of successful experience at the school or division level planning, developing, and implementing student support programs, including services for students with IEPs, Section 504 plans, and other at-risk populations, is required
