COMPANY BACKGROUND/CULTURE
Awbury is a specialist insurance group with market-leading insurance underwriting and structuring capability, operating out of offices in the US, Bermuda, UK, Belgium, Singapore, and Japan. Since inception in 2010, Awbury has become a global leader in its product area, both in executed transactions and the depth of its relationships and expertise. Awbury offers insurance protection for bespoke economic and financial risks via Awbury Insurance Ltd., a multi-line Bermuda-domiciled insurance company, Awbury Syndicate 2025, a Lloyd’s of London syndicate, and Awbury Insurance Company, a Delaware-domiciled specialty multi-line insurer and funded solutions via Awbury Corporation.
Backed by a panel of 20+ global (re)insurers, Awbury delivers large-scale, custom-tailored solutions for a range of client needs, including capital relief, balance sheet solutions, legacy position reduction/inventory management and “tall tree” exposure mitigation. The underlying risk of Awbury’s insurance policies relates to Private Equity, CLOs, ABS, sub-investment grade loans, derivative counterparty exposure and other credit-related risks.
A focus on complex opportunities has enabled Awbury to become a market leader in designing bespoke coverage for risks that do not naturally fit within existing insurance or bank offerings. Clients include top global banks, leading asset managers, insurance and reinsurance companies, corporates across the credit spectrum and governmental entities.
The Awbury team has extensive experience in the fields of underwriting, deal structuring, complex credit risk assessment, capital and global risk program management, which allows for constant innovation, flexibility, and most importantly, timely delivery of executable transactions.
