Movement & Wellness Mentor / Exercise Specialist
The Lab Mentor – Full-Time
The Lab Vitality Club is seeking a full-time Mentor to coach adults 50+ through a personalized journey focused on reducing pain, improving strength, restoring function, and rebuilding confidence. This is not a typical trainer role.
At The Lab, a Mentor is part coach, part guide, part educator, and part accountability partner. You will work with clients who may have chronic pain, low confidence, poor balance, weakness, past injuries, joint limitations, or years of inactivity. Your role is to meet them where they are and help them progress safely and consistently. We are looking for someone who combines technical skill with empathy, professionalism, and the ability to create meaningful human connection.
About the Position
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and motivated professional with a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and functional movement. This position is especially well suited for current students, recent graduates, or professionals with educational backgrounds in:

- Rehabilitation Science
- Sports Medicine
- Human Performance
- Health Science or a closely related field
The ideal candidate understands how the body moves, can identify movement limitations and compensations, and is comfortable working with adults who may have chronic pain, mobility limitations, previous injuries, or age-related changes in strength and balance.
A strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, joint mechanics, posture, gait, balance, strength training, and exercise modification is highly preferred.
Previous personal training or coaching experience is a plus, but we are especially interested in candidates with a strong academic and clinical understanding of the human body who are eager to develop their coaching and client communication skills.
